Senior Account Director

Summary of Job’s Purpose:

As a Senior Account Director, you are the primary link between Kargo and the marketplace. In this senior sales role, you’ll leverage your deep relationships and experience to drive significant growth across key agencies, brands, and platforms. You will provide valuable input in revenue forecasts and regularly provide market insight back to the company to inform direction and roadmap.

The Position:

o   Evangelizes Kargo as a consultative partner providing clients world-class customer service and developing strategic partnerships. Represents Kargo's values and philosophy to the world.

o   Creates and grows partnerships both brand direct and agencies. Develops corporate contacts and cultivates relationships at all levels that enhance Kargo's position.

o   Possesses strong baseline understanding of the full digital eco-system, with a curiosity to always learn more.

o   Works to deeply understand the customer's business, challenges, and goals. Increases revenue from positioning and presenting new and existing products, preparing appropriate ROIs, and closing the sale.

o   Exhibits a HUNTER mentality – an appetite for building and closing deals. This includes growing marketshare of current business and driving new business.

o   Maintains complete and accurate documentation in SalesForce of all activity

o   Maintains broad knowledge of company products and their capabilities as well as the strengths/ weaknesses of competitive products

o   Cycle market response back to the company, primarily the product organization, to help inform our roadmap and positioning.

o   Interface with Kargo creative, design, and yield teams to develop sound, compelling pro-active ideas and proposals.

o   Works very closely with Account Management teams to service, maintain, renew and up-sell current clients

o   Possesses leadership qualities to help mentor and encourage junior members of the team

The Requirements:

o   5+ years of experience selling both online and programmatic advertising AND 3+ years of marketing, brand advertising, media sales, and/or online advertising experience

o   Must have strong list of brand and agency contacts in addition to other assignments in the region

o   Ability to engage and partner with C-Level executives

o   Ability to win the support of key stakeholders

o   Extensive knowledge of digital and mobile marketing

o   Must possess superb written and verbal communication skills

o   Must be a highly motivated team player

o   PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills a must. Knowledge in Salesforce a plus.

Sales Manager- Sydney

The Role
-Kargo is looking to add a sales person/sales manager to spearhead sales within the Sydney market, with the responsibility of delivering mobile advertising revenue from Australian agencies and clients – both Programmatically and via Direct IO.
-The sales person/sales manager will report to the Commercial Director APAC and will be responsible for the sales revenue growth across all agencies and direct clients.
-He/she will establish working relationships with agency trading desks, major agency holding companies and clients, to cement the Kargo brand name in the Sydney market.
-The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically and work independently to achieve sales targets by delivering custom solutions for key brand advertisers.
-The manager should be capable of utilizing their existing contacts and creating new contacts to achieve revenue targets and help the ANZ Kargo team reach the market revenue goal. By executing our sales strategy in market the manager will be expected to demonstrate empathy, an easy to deal with approach and also excellent product and market place knowledge plus the ability to interrogate and understand client briefs and requirements that will enable Kargo to deliver the very best solutions that work every time.
-Programmatic advertising is growing therefore a knowledge of the trading desks and DSP’s would be extremely beneficial.
-A key element to the role is establishing, managing and maintaining trading relationships.
-The role is not for the faint hearted the candidate should be ready for hard work, to get their hands dirty whilst we grow the team but should be prepared for fun and rewarding journey without the bureaucracy of a large company.

Business Intelligence & Pricing Analyst

About the Job:

Kargo is looking for a Analyst to join our tightly knit Business Intelligence & Pricing team. This team is responsible for all analytics, experimentation, and reporting within the organization. The primary focus of the team is on communicating business insights intra-company and assisting with business and product strategy development.  This position reports to Kargo’s Senior Director of Business Intelligence & Pricing within the Business Operations department.

You will be working closely with stakeholders across the organization to help them align their product direction against measurable KPIs and assist them in communicating those results back to the entire company. This position will contain exposure to all levels of the business and the ability to manipulate true "big data" at all stages of our data pipeline.



Continually work with various teams to develop relevant KPIs and dashboards for them to monitor and explore relevant metrics.

Utilize SQL and possibly R to analyze data from our various DBs and sources. This includes Snowflake and other big data technologies.

Interact daily with clean and raw datasets on the scale of KBs to TBs.

Perform ad-hoc analyses and data requests as relates to various departments within our business.



2+ years' experience in product or business analytics or relevant degree

Deep passion for optimizing pre-existing processes.

Be able to tackle problems from multiple angles and possess a high-energy “can do” attitude.

Strong foundation in SQL with intermediate knowledge of statistical analytics (hypothesis testing, ARIMA and regression modeling)

Solutions Engineer, Tech Operations

Who We Are:

Technical Operations team sits within the Global Operations team. Focused on publisher integrations, technical solutions & troubleshooting for direct & programmatic campaigns, as well as acting as support for Product & Engineering across the business teams. We are the singular point of escalation, supporting all Kargo products & technologies.

The Position:

The Solutions Engineer sits within the Technical Operations team, and will focus most of their expertise within the programmatic landscape (SSP & DSP). This role will be responsible for bringing our technology to life each day, establishing and supporting new customer deployments, expansion projects, and internal initiatives.  As the hub of configuration design and customer interaction, this position is also tasked with developing and sharing best practices across Kargo and providing technical support to internal operational & sales teams, as well as deep understanding of adtech. This role sits between operations & product/engineering, and will be require technical expertise in Publisher integrations, header bidding, adserving and troubleshooting.

Help our clients understand, use, and troubleshoot Kargo’s suite of ad products and platform modules

Conduct trainings and attend in-person question and answer sessions for Publisher, Ad Ops, Sales, Client Services, Project Mgmt and Product Teams

Participate and share best practices across Kargo, as the technical frontline

Act as an escalation point to diffuse operational roadblocks that the team may be facing by internal or external pressures by managing the people, process and tools used to support our tech

Assist with various documentation needs, customer support systems and process – all geared at aiding client adoption and better use of Kargo’s products, as well as internal understanding 

Provide additional testing & QA support for Kargo product releases: SSP, DSPs, Measurement & Header Bidding

Help to define product improvements and train internal teams 

Technical lead on publisher integrations, integrating publishers for header bidding

Support DSP integrations with Kargo; troubleshoot and document

Deep understanding of programmatic workflow, as the role will require deep troubleshooting skills around creative issues

The solutions engineer will be an important member of the team, and has to work both collaboratively and independently within tech ops, as well as across the organization.

The role will reqire strong communication skills, and expected to articulate technical issues to non-technical people.   

The Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience within an ad technology company, deep understanding of adserving & troubleshooting

Strong troubleshooting knowledge with HTML, JS, CSS, familiarity with JSON

Knowledge of Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP), or similar adserving platforms a plus, as well as Celtra

W experience with 3rd party measurement vendors like IAS, Doubleverify, MOAT, etc.

Experience in AdTech, Ability to learn new tools

Prior experience in working with DSP's and exchanges like DBM, TTD, Index, Mediamath 

High Proficiency in using web debugging tools; and ability to adapt to mobile debugging

Functional Experience in data analysis.

Software Engineer

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of Kargo’s ad tech innovations. You’ll be working directly with the CTO to build and role out new products and ideas to put the art back in advertising. You’ll become a key member of a close group of engineers, working on cutting edge products using open source technologies. On a typical day in this role, you'll touch on everything from the client side javascript to initiate an auction on the mobile web, to working on microservices in Go to execute billions of millisecond auctions, to data pipelines for capturing necessary events for analytics and revenue reporting..  



Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).

Excellent problem solving skills. You should be able to operate independently with little direction.

2+ years of experience programming in an object oriented programming language such as Python, Java, C++ (Go preferred!).

Experience in building RESTful and stateless backend services and corresponding APIs.

Experience with creating build automation scripts (bash, makefiles… etc).

Experience with working with RDBMS’s such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

Experience with client and server side Javascript (Node.js, ES6).

Familiarity with ETL pipelines, preferably working in an ELT setting.

Summary of Job’s Purpose:

As a Software Engineer in Test, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our proprietary software prior to delivery to the user and/or partners. This position involves close interaction with product managers, engineers, project managers, and the QA team.
