VP, Client Development

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, creative and solutions-oriented marketer to join our client development team!  This person will be responsible for developing inspiring, innovative and strategic digital marketing campaigns for top tier advertisers as well as lead go-to-market strategies for new products releases. Reports directly to the SVP of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage our sales strategy and product marketing team members
  • Spearhead idea & proposal development for RFPs, and strategic client meetings
  • Lead creative brainstorms to come up with original, inspiring ideas that meet advertiser’s objectives and leverage our best assets
  • Work with senior management on defining go-to-market strategies around successful product and feature launches
  • Partner with product leadership to make insights driven business decisions in conjunction with market trends to define a strategic narrative to our customers 
  • Prepare relevant sales collateral and proposed media plans for clients and agencies
  • Work with National sales team to build relationships, pitch ideas and increase selling opportunities – regularly participating in client meetings
  • Own all of the sales presentations and selling collateral, and leverage your expertise and presentation-development skills to deliver comprehensive, strategic, and exciting pitch decks, one-sheets and newsletters
  • Work with Design to create impactful sales comps, and Research to craft compelling data-driven stories
  • Act as the sales product gate-keeper by understanding all of the functionality and best practices for each product we sell

Who We Are:

Kargo is looking for a seasoned Office Experience Manager and administrative mastermind to basically run EVERYTHING - from planning and running our office/facilities operations and logistics, to building and executing culture programs for Kargo’s Headquarters in NYC, consisting of approximately 130 employees. The Position:

Office Experience

  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to effectively maintain effective presentation and seating standards for the 826 Office (cleanliness, design, artwork)

  • Partner with People and IT to onboard and off board employees in a timely manner: workspace, machines, and licenses

Office Culture

  • Design and own NYC’s Office Culture Calendar that offers regular events that foster collaboration, wellness, fun, and recognition

Office Operations

  • Manage the recurring calendar of preventative maintenance; proactively coordinate office repair, cleaning, and maintenance requests

  • Partner with People Ops Director and Finance to manage budget by purchasing and tracking spend for all snack, beverage, and office supplies inventory

Who We Are:

Technical Operations team sits within the Global Operations team. Focused on publisher integrations, technical solutions & troubleshooting for direct & programmatic campaigns, as well as acting as support for Product & Engineering across the business teams. We are the singular point of escalation, supporting all Kargo products & technologies.

The Position:

The Solutions Engineer sits within the Technical Operations team, and will focus most of their expertise within the programmatic landscape (SSP & DSP). This role will be responsible for bringing our technology to life each day, establishing and supporting new customer deployments, expansion projects, and internal initiatives.  As the hub of configuration design and customer interaction, this position is also tasked with developing and sharing best practices across Kargo and providing technical support to internal operational & sales teams, as well as deep understanding of adtech. This role sits between operations & product/engineering, and will be require technical expertise in Publisher integrations, header bidding, adserving and troubleshooting.

  • Help our clients understand, use, and troubleshoot Kargo’s suite of ad products and platform modules
  • Conduct trainings and attend in-person question and answer sessions for Publisher, Ad Ops, Sales, Client Services, Project Mgmt and Product Teams
  • Participate and share best practices across Kargo, as the technical frontline
  • Act as an escalation point to diffuse operational roadblocks that the team may be facing by internal or external pressures by managing the people, process and tools used to support our tech
  • Assist with various documentation needs, customer support systems and process – all geared at aiding client adoption and better use of Kargo’s products, as well as internal understanding 
  • Provide additional testing & QA support for Kargo product releases: SSP, DSPs, Measurement & Header Bidding
  • Help to define product improvements and train internal teams 
  • Technical lead on publisher integrations, integrating publishers for header bidding
  • Support DSP integrations with Kargo; troubleshoot and document
  • Deep understanding of programmatic workflow, as the role will require deep troubleshooting skills around creative issues
  • The solutions engineer will be an important member of the team, and has to work both collaboratively and independently within tech ops, as well as across the organization.
  • The role will require strong communication skills, and expected to articulate technical issues to non-technical people.

The Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience within an ad technology company, deep understanding of adserving & troubleshooting
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge with HTML, JS, CSS, familiarity with JSON
  • Knowledge of Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP), or similar adserving platforms a plus, as well as Celtra
  • Must have experience with 3rd party measurement vendors like IAS, Doubleverify, MOAT, etc.
  • Experience in AdTech, Ability to learn new tools
  • Prior experience in working with DSP's and exchanges like DBM, TTD, Index, Mediamath 
  • High Proficiency in using web debugging tools; and ability to adapt to mobile debugging
  • Functional Experience in data analysis.

The Role

Kargo is looking for a commercially minded, diligent, creative problem solver who has a passion to build something to be our Deputy General Counsel. We are looking for strategic thinkers, doers and closers.  As Deputy General Counsel, you will run the day-to-day legal function.  Your job will be to assist in the setting of and then go and implement the global legal strategy across all lines of Kargo’s business.  You will help create and advise on best practices, play an integral role in facilitating growth and mitigating risk, and align business strategy from a legal perspective. This means getting your hands dirty and guiding the business for the long-term, while protecting the company from undue risk.

The Responsibilities

  • The Deputy General Counsel will be responsible for helping establish and then executing on Kargo's legal strategy, which should be rooted in a hands-on, solutions oriented approach whereby the Deputy GC understands Kargo’s business model, what people actually do and need, where the risks actually are, and acts as a business-minded partner who provides a course of action to get things done.
  • Oversee and manage outside counsel to remain under budget.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements covering all of Kargo’s commercial activities: advertising sales, publisher, ad tech, licensing, intellectual property licensing, SaaS, real estate and development, services, partner, and vendor agreements.
  • Manage and protect the company’s portfolio of IP.
  • Advise on HR and employment related issues.
  • Manage, strategize and advise on all litigation matters.
  • Advice on all aspects of Kargo’s data privacy considerations worldwide.
  • Assist in the management of corporate matters, including corporate minutes, governance issues, shareholding, fundraising, and the like.
  • Manage multiple deals effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure the accurate completion and timely execution of business initiatives.
  • Advise business clients on legal issues and risks, company policies, and business strategy.
  • Anticipate and identify issues and risks, recommending potential solutions.
  • Stay abreast of trends in the industry and areas of law relating to mobile technology, digital advertising, and data / privacy.

The Requirements

  • JD from a top law school with excellent academic credentials and references and New York bar admission
  • Eight (8)+ years’ legal experience at a combination of a major law firm and in-house at a start-up (preferably) and/or ad tech company.
  • Proven record of success as an in-house counsel.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, business-friendly, team player, with an ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • We are looking for someone detail oriented who will see around corners, self-educate, push back on the business, have an opinion and most of all be decisive.  If you have not consistently exhibited these traits you will not be successful in this role.

Who Are & What We Do In Platform Analytics:

The Platform Analytics team uses the power of data to drive revenue generating recommendations and strategies. The team sits centrally in the Operations org however operates cross departments, working closely with Product, Publisher Management, Client Services, Business Operations, Inventory & Yield and Finance. Part doctor to diagnose, part detective to investigate, part consultant to provide recommendations, the analyst will play a crucial role in growing revenue and enhancing Kargo’s product offering.

In this role, you will be reporting into the Associate Director of Platform Analytics. Your focus will be to assist in building out the brand-new Platform Analytics team by supporting the data distribution across various teams within Kargo. The role is highly analytical but requires excellent communication skills (both written & spoken) to effectively communicate findings.

The Position:

  • Responsible for providing actionable data findings to relevant teams to help drive incremental revenue
  • Drives pricing and inventory recommendations through in-depth Publisher and Deal analysis
  • Co-leads the Business Intelligence taskforce to further promote the integration of data into the daily workstream of all teams
  • Responsible for running analyses on both the demand as well as supply side of the business

The Requirements:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or Economics
  • Experience with SQL as well as the creation and maintenance of dashboards within Looker, Tableau etc.
