At Kargo, we're committed to transparency and respecting your privacy choices. As a premium advertising technology company operating across mobile, CTV, social, and e-commerce platforms, we provide this portal to help you exercise your privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable privacy laws.

1. Opt Out & Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the CCPA and similar privacy laws, some of Kargo's data processing activities may be classified as "selling" or "sharing" personal information or delivering "targeted advertising." You have the right to direct us to stop these activities.

What Happens When You Opt Out

When you opt out, Kargo will:

  • Stop using your information for targeted advertising purposes

  • No longer "sell" or "share" your information as defined by the CCPA

  • Cease using sensitive personal information for advertising purposes

Mobile Devices:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

Connected TVs:

  • Check your device's settings menu for advertising or privacy controls

  • Look for options like "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Reset Advertising ID"

2. How to Request Access or Deletion

As explained in our platform privacy policy, we do not process information or collect personal details that enable us to directly identify you as an individual. Instead, we collect certain digital identifiers that enable us to recognize your device or your browser (a "Digital Identifier").

For that reason, to fulfill requests to access or delete personal information we need you to provide us with your Digital Identifiers and certain other information. This enables us to find relevant data associated with your device or browser, and to help ensure that the request comes from the rightful user.

Submitting Your Request

To exercise your right to access or delete your personal information:

  1. Locate your Digital Identifiers using the instructions in Section 3 below

  2. Email your request to privacyinfo@kargo.com including your Digital Identifiers

  3. Specify what action you're requesting (access or deletion)

We use the information you provide only for the purpose of processing your data protection and privacy requests.

Verification Process: When you make a request, we may seek to verify your request by asking you to submit certain information, such as a screenshot of your Digital Identifier or certain information about your device or browsing behavior.

3. How to Find Your Device Identifier

To process your privacy requests, we need you to locate and send us the relevant digital identifiers from your device(s). Here's how to locate them:

1. Web Browsers

As described in our Services Privacy Policy, our advertising technology operates by using small text files called "cookies" that are placed on your device. These cookies may include a digital identifier. To locate these digital identifiers, you can use the processes described here: https://thenai.org/about-online-advertising/what-are-my-options/ or search through your cookies cookies named "ktcid", “krg_uid” or “krg_crb” which are set from the kargo.com domain.

Please note that different cookies are placed on each browser that you use to access the web. As a result, if you use multiple browsers (for example, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox), you will need to repeat this process for each browser, and on each different device you use.

2. Mobile Devices 

Certain mobile devices such as phones or tablets also generate a persistent "Advertising Identifier" per device, which, among other things, can be used by third parties, including Kargo, for purposes of providing you with targeted advertising.

On iOS devices, your Advertising Identifier may be referred to as an "IDFA," or "ID for Advertising." On Android devices, your Advertising Identifier may be referred to as an "Advertising ID." Please follow instructions from your mobile device manufacturer on how to locate your specific Advertising Identifier.

When contacting us about a privacy request, please include as many relevant identifiers as possible to help us locate your information in our systems.
